Sproutit Mailroom Is First Help Desk With PayPal Support

Posted by chris at February 26, 2008

SUNNYVALE, CA, February 26, 2008 - Sproutit, a Silicon Valley web based start up providing web based support software, has added PayPal support with Mailroom, its simple web-based help desk software for website email. Mailroom is the first web-based help desk to integrate PayPal support, enabling users to quickly reference purchases made using PayPal while responding to customer emails.

“For a company to offer good customer support, you need to have as much information about your customer as possible” Charles Jolley said, CEO of Sproutit. “Integrating with PayPal just makes sense for a small business. If you can have your customer’s purchase history available when you are answering their email questions, then you are one step ahead of the game.”

Using PayPal’s open application programming interface (API), Sproutit will tie incoming sales and support email addresses of customers to their transactions with that vendor. The PayPal support feature will be made available to current and new Mailroom accounts that subscribe to the $19 per month plan, and above.

PayPal, the global leader in online payment solutions with more than 164 million accounts worldwide, is currently used on over 100,000 websites, in addition to the largest online auction site, eBay, to process payments.

Mailroom by Sproutit is a web-based email help desk application designed specifically to help companies manage website email. Integrating with both PayPal and Basecamp, Mailroom provides companies the most complete and affordable help desk solution for website email.

Founded in 2005, Sunnyvale based Sproutit creates web-based help desk software for website email. With thousands of clients, Sproutit caters to web app companies, e-commerce websites, non-profits and political campaigns.

alarm:clock euro on Sproutit

Posted by charles at May 14, 2006

alarm:clock euro just posted a nice piece on Sproutit and Mailroom. This interview was very different from most others I’ve done because the Valerie, the author, was really digging more into the business side of Sproutit. Read everything she wrote, but here is what I found more interest:

TechCrunch into Mailroom

Posted by chris at March 13, 2006

Take a look at the writeup we got on Techcrunch today. Here are a few word from Nik Cubrilovic:

I am constantly looking for new products that will make my own business more efficient and perform better, and while finding a lot of good solutions for key problems, more often I find solutions to problems that I hadn’t really thought of. The latest solution that I am using now that saves us both time and help us perform better is Mailroom from Sproutit.

We got a nice mention by Paul Taylor in the Financial Times today. (As did our friends at iotum). Woo-hoo!

Mailroom from Sproutit (www.sproutit.com) aims to deliver similar productivity gains to small businesses deluged with e-mail. The web-based e-mail management software package automatically sorts and routes incoming e-mail and also suggests responses that are then reviewed by a human being.

Sproutit’s mailroom automatically tracks all the correspondence between a business and a customer, delivering one element of big business customer relationship management to small companies.

Posted by chris at February 11, 2006

By Paul Gillin on Thursday Feb 9.

Given all the lip service being given to the small/medium business market, I was surprised there weren’t more products targeting those users. Nevertheless, there were three that caught my eye.

DEMOgods and personal glory, by Shel Israel

DemoGods and Personal Glory

I cannot report on the DemoGod Awards without basking in a bit of personal glory. I’ll get that part out of the way first, then resume our regularly scheduled posting. I coached three companies for their Demo presentations. They are Riya, the photo search engine Krugle, the open source search engine and iodum, the Web 2.0 personal call management system. All three won DemoGod Awards. I am very grateful to have worked with such talented teams and such promising new technology.

Demo 2006 - Blogging Demo 2006

Posted by charles at February 08, 2006

“What Counts” blog early reactions to Mailroom:

Strong, clean interface. Tackling a critically important role, this product might have legs. Six minutes was too short a period of time to properly evaluate. With my clear interests in email I plan to spend much more time learning about this product. DEMO says there are no competitors, but this isn’t right by a long shot. There are a bunch of folks doing this and have been doing it for a while. (from Demo 2006 – Blogging Demo 2006)

Jeff Clavier's Software Only: DEMO 2006: Day Two - Morning

Posted by charles at February 08, 2006

Jeff Clavier got the first post out about our DEMO today. You can read it at:

Sprout Systems: announces MailRoom, a solution for small businesses to manage, prioritize and in some cases automatically reply, to the email they are receiving (stats mentioned is that SMBs spend up to 50% of their time answering). It is based on a Web-based UI that provides ready-made forms, email answers and workflows to speed up email management. This sounds interesting, but I am concerned about the scalability of the demo’ed solution to hundreds of emails, and thousands of contacts.
